We’ve been coming to Coral Princess for a couple decades. The facility is showing some signs of age in some areas. Very nice location. Food is always good. Staff is exceptional.
We had a lovely week at the Coral Princess! The room had a stunning view and the pool was great. The staff is wonderful as always! The newer staff such as CARLOS and SAUL were especially helpful and lots of fun! I have been visiting this hotel for almost 20 years and love it!!!!
We love coming to Cozumel and the Coral Princess. The staff at the hotel are so gracious and welcoming. We love interacting with all of the staff. The Mexican dishes on the breakfast menu are delicious and it is wonderful dining on a relaxing quiet patio only feet from the ocean. We love that our room is only feet from some of the best snorkeling on the island. When snorkeling from the hotel we have seen manta rays, eagle rays, sea turtles, sting rays, star fish, eels, and about 40 different kinds of fish. Everyday pelicans and magnificent frigatebirds fly past the hotel and egrets will sometimes land on the rock ledges in front of the hotel. Virtually every night we walk into town for dinner and listen to music. We have over 20 restaurants that are our favorite places to eat dinner. These places all have delicious food with wonderful wait staff. Dennis
We really enjoyed our stay here. The snorkeling is just excellent. Maybe some of our favorite snorkeling ever and we’ve been on many tours. There aren’t huge reefs here, but there is a large variety of sea life in the rocks. We’ve seen eels, rays, barracuda, needle fish, all kinds of tropical schools, parrot fish, angels and clowns, nurse sharks, and some huge puffer fish. Plus an octopus one time. The food is also very good at the restaurant at the waterfront. If you’re needing something a bit more American on your trip, this spot has great fries and burgers and salads. The rooms are basic and older but clean and nice. I don’t remember the rooms being particularly noisy, but I am a heavy sleeper. All the employees were very kind to us. The pool area is super relaxing with tons of lounge chairs, and there are very nice public bathrooms near the swimming area. If you have a car, the parking is convenient. If you’re walking, it is around 30-40 minutes into town. Not terrible, and a beautiful walk with a good path away from traffic.
A nice place overall but not close to any restaurants within any walking distance as you may want to rent a car or taxi. The restaurant here is very good. Snorkeling is nice here. Beds are comfy. The guys at the restaurant are lovely!! Makes me want to come back, just to see their smiling faces!
I was hesitant about going to the Coral Princess because of some of the reviews. But we were extremely happy with the hotel! The staff is wonderful! We ate breakfast there every day and it was very good, except for the eggs Benedict. My husband misplaced his wallet and when I told the lady at the desk, she called the restaurant we were at that night, then they called the taxis to see if a wallet was found, she also called the US Embassy for me. They went above and beyond to help us. We did find his wallet eventually! Our room was very nice…only thing I could complain about was that the balcony wasn’t floor level to the room…watch out for the big step down. But all in all, we would gladly come again. We loved it here!!
Amazing! The staff are fantastic and treat you like family. They offer great service, and wonderful recommendations for things to do, places to go, and tours to go on. Housekeeping was on top of it every day! From the concierge, front desk staff, service staff, and helpers- they make this hotel a gem of a place to stay! The pool area is always clean, service is prompt. The best part is the snorkeling! Snorkeling right from the hotel is amazing- all sorts of fish, rays, lobsters, eels, crabs- anything you could want to see! Thank you so much for making our stay so enjoyable! <3
Overall, I had a great stay and everything was excellent except for the breakfast. The “large breakfast” was poorly organized, and staff kept pushing guests to pay extra for the buffet even though breakfast was already included. I was also served undercooked eggs, and the situation was handled without an apology. Apart from this, everything else was very good
